being a content creator nowadays
Being a content creator is never easy, especially now during the time when everyone has a voice on social media. Meme pages are rising dramatically making it harder to compete. How to come on top during this meta generation? Marcus Suen is here to save the day. Luckily enough to attend to Marcus’s guest lecture, I learned some of the best tricks and tips for modern content creator. Here are some of them.

Creativity is not enough, empathy is key
Marcus told us that being creative sure is a plus, but being empathic and use creativity to create something that connects really matters. You have to base on something in order to create something, and how you work the materials into your creation really matters. Connect with you audience and know what they want.

Keep up, don’t dilly dally and waste your time
With so much going on at present, the key to create content that appeals sometimes requires you to look into society. Writing the social appeal that everybody eagers, involving in timely news and voices, seeking for the real juice of citizen and society and working them into your content is so important. We are living in a generation in which information is so over saturated, sometimes not taking stance can also be a problem. Today is not the day for being silent. Have a voice, brave enough to take a stance, and create what is close to your heart and what you believe in.

Live in the present, creating while breathing
The tip to become a great creator is to be ready wherever whenever. It is a scary time during which when one celebrity is cheating, in less than 20 minutes everybody and their cats are going to find out. Information does not wait for you to write something. And it is up to you to take the initiates to choose whether or not to jump into this train that’s about to live. Information dies fast, tik tok, the clock is ticking!

Hearing from Marcus is somewhat enlightening. I hope you would feel the same after reading this. Creating content was never easy, therefore we have to be there for each other, through thick and thin, in this crazy upside down world, don’t we?
